Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

Dad Died in CT with no will, what will happend at probate court

My dad died suddenly in CT and had no will, i received a letter about his estate going to probate court, I would like to know what will be probated? My step mother has already decided on what to gove his children, some that are hers and his and some just his, basically her kids get the Valuable stuff. What will go on at probate and what if I cant be there because I live out of state? Do I have rights to anything.

You will need a lawyer who is familiar with the law of the state where probate is conducted to discuss this question with you. You may want to seek a consult without delay, as it is better to challenge probate while it is underway.

You need to get a CT attorney familiar with Probate. I also urge you do it quickly as it is often easier to challenge probate proceedings while the estate is open.
