Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Connecticut

I live in the State of CT and have a probate question. My son was awarded a settlement for Lead poisoning. The court had us put the settlement in a trust for him. Is there a way that we can take a loan from this trust and pay him back? The economic downturn eliminated my position and I have been unemployed for 2 years. I am looking to take $10,000 from my son's trust and pay him back over time. I was hoping to be working by now, but I am still unemployed. The loan would be used to keep the family in our house and help pay for utilities while I continue to look for employment.

This is probably not as concrete as answer as you wanted, but it would depend on the terms of the trust and a lot of the surrounding circumstances.
