Legal Question in Workers Comp in Connecticut

Whole Arm Disability Or Seperate Parts

I have had three operations on my left shoulder and one operation on my left elbow.I also have carpell tunnell in my left wrist. These are work related injuries and excepted claims under worker compensation. These injuries leave my left arm almost totally disabled. When I get a disability rating should it be on my left arm as a whole or as shoulder, elbow, and wrist seperately?I have very limited use of this arm and it will never get better.Thank You for any help you can give. Rob

Re: Whole Arm Disability Or Seperate Parts

It would depend if the injuries all occurred at the same time or in separate events. Even if at the same time, one would have to do the math and find out whichformula (individual vs. arm-as-a whole)would translate to more $. I would be happy to speak with you regarding representation with no obligation on your part. I am a board certified CT worker's comp specialist and have 17+ years experience in the field. Good luck.
