Legal Question in Workers Comp in Connecticut

ct compensation formal hearing

i went to my formal hearing today and was told that i was considered an employee and not an indepentent contractor as i said from the beginning i was an employee. the judge ruled i was correct, but now defendants want to reserve cross exaimanation it's already been 19 months how long can this take now? and what happens now, my hearing was today, and how much long can it take to recieve compensation payment through second injury fund as employer did not have comp. insurance
