Legal Question in Workers Comp in Connecticut

personal injury

I have a 15%disability rating of my right foot.Along the way i have a sprain on my left side lower back.My orthopedic says i have been limping for sometime now and it has put a strain on my back.THE insurance company medical examiner says my foot injury has nothing to do with the back and the workers comp. medical examiner agrees but my doctor says its from guarded gait disturbance. Can i appeal or are both examiners right?

Re: personal injury

Workers Comp. Medical Examiner sounds like you had a Commissioner's Exam. If you want to appeal it, you need to go to a formal hearing, lose, and then appeal that to the Compensation Review Board. Winning an appeal of a Commissioner's Exam, however, is extremely difficut and the liklihood of success is minimal.
