violation of careless driving

#1 is careless driving in delaware a misdemeanour ?

#2 once convicted of careless driving, is there anything that i can do to get the points removed.

#3 how long does the violation stay on the record.

1. Yes;

2. If you are talking about Delaware Dept. of Motor Vehicles - Generally, No. They will come off over time. See DE DMV website for copy of DMV Manual which explains point system. If you pled guilty recently you could file a motion to withdraw your guilty plea, which may or may not be granted by the judge. If the judge allows guilty plea withdrawl you will then have to go to trial. If you went to trial and were found guilty, any appeal must be filed within 15 days.

3. The violation stays on you permanent record forever. As to how long the points stay on your driving record see answer to #2 above.
