Legal Question in Family Law in District of Columbia

My wife wants to seperate< can she legally not let me see my chidren and we have not went to court or filed any paperwork? There has been no abuse to the children or her. She just dose not want to be married now. We have been married for only (9) months. One child is my bilogical and one is by another man and i have not adopted her and she does not have my last name.

As the biological and legal father of your birth child, you have equal rights to that child. If the mother attempts to keep you from your child, you may want to file for divorce and request shared custody.

You have no rights to see the other child.
