Legal Question in Immigration Law in District of Columbia

Hi,

I have a G4 visa with an international organization. I would like to work as a volunteer in a local NGO (washington, DC). This volunteer time will not be paid in any way (not even snacks at the office). Can I do it?

You can work as a volunteer as long as you maintain your G-4 status.

We suggest you to consult with an immigration attorney.
