Legal Question in Employment Law in District of Columbia

In December I was terminated from my job, that I had been working since 2002. I believe it was a personal issue the some of the management had with me that lead to this. I went through a long arbitration process, and in June they settled and decided to bring me back. The incident was reduced to a verbal warning, and I still have not received my back pay. My Issue is for 3 consecutive pay periods my check has had missing hours. (1st check 11hrs, second check 20hrs, 3rd check 12hrs). I am starting to feel like this is a backlash for taking the company to arbitration and them having to settle. Is there some action that can be taken about this situation. out of all the missing hours, 19hrs have been paid to me. but the extra 2, 4, and 6 week wait to receive payment that should have been paid is becoming very incontinent. I was told that the remaining missing hours from the first missing check will be given to me in an expedited check on this Wednesday, 2 days before our regular payday on Friday, 8 weeks after the original date they should have been paid.

Thank you

Frank, contact a labor/employment attorney in DC to assist you. If you cannot afford one, seek "pro bono" or free help from legal aid or local law school "legal clinics." Best of luck.
