Legal Question in Personal Injury in District of Columbia

auto injury settlement

an insurance company offered a settlement for injuries received in an accident. I verbally agreed, but have not signed the release.

After reviewing my records, I have decided the settlement is not fair and would like to re-negotiate. Am I bound by my verbal agreement?

Re: auto injury settlement

You should have an attorney review the release before you sign anything. It depends on exactly what was stated in the conversation with the adjuster, but you should probably have an attorney get involved. All attorneys who practice primarily injury/accident law work on a contingency fee so you shouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket. Feel free to call with any more questions - 800.655.4529.
