Legal Question in Business Law in Dominican Republic

international sexual harassment

(Well known international pharma. lab company). Is having a FORCED one on one business lunch/dinner with the opposite sex considered a sexual harassment, if the employee says it will bring problems with her marriage?

Re: international sexual harassment

Please give more facts to receive a better answer. Such as, do you have a problem with ALL males or just one (or a few) in particular? Do you have any reason to fear that the meeting will be anything other than professional? Will the meeting be in a public place? Have you been offered (or have you asked for) other viable options, such as having a third party join the meeting? What are the threatened repercussions if you don't attend the business meeting? Are there any cultural or religious reasons for your problems with the meeting?

Also indicate what you mean by "international" - where is the place where you usually work? You will need specific answers from a lawyer in the right US state or other country.

You can resubmit your query with the additional information.
