Foreign Gambling Debt

In May of 2004 I went to the Dominican Republic for vacation. My traveling companion and I had never gambled before. We went to a casino with only $20.00 each for a fun night playing slot machines. We got suckered into a ''chance to win big money'' by being provided a ''free token'' to begin the game. In the end, we did not win anything and left the Dominican Republic with a large gambling debt. I feel that the Casino misrepresented the game, and after we stopped playing, they told us that ''nobody ever wins at this game.'' I am not a gambler and have never played a high stakes game before. What are my legal rights to dispute or not pay this gambling debt (issued as lines of credit at the casino)?

Before I can give you a sound legal advise I will need the following questions answered. Did you sign any documents where you guarantee the acquired gambling debt? What happened when you left the casino without covering your line of gambling credit?
