Legal Question in Social Security Law in Florida

I have chronic vertigo due to Vestibular Nerve Damage and Meniere's Disease. This is from a severe car accident I had 10 years ago. I have tried medication, physical therapy and had surgery on my neck 10 years ago for a bulging disc from the accident. I am currently under a Doctor's care and unable to work. Would I be able to get Social Security Disability?

If you have medical documentation of your condition and proof that the severity of your condition keeps you from working at your last job or any job and and you are under 50 years old, you will probably eventually be found eligible. If you are older, your chances are greater of getting the benefits and you may need to prove only that you cannot do your last job or any sedentary job. The best way to find out is to apply with the help of an attorney.

It will depend on the amount of disability a Doctor will verify. I suggest you go ahead and file with the local social security office in your area. If you need an attorney to assist you and you are in my area, please give me a call. I do make house calls.
