Insurance Benefit, if no beneficiary listed?

In the event that there is no beneficiary listed on a life insurance policy, would the benefit go to the brother and sister first, or to the estate first?

Generally speaking, the deceased's estate should be the beneficiary of the policy. However, it depends on what the life insurance contract says.
