Legal Question in Disability Law in Florida

My daughter is a Type 1 insulin dependant diabetic....after being arrested the sheriff's dept took her insulin pump away fro her and when we picked her up she was extremely close to being in DKA..diabetic keto acidosis....a very dangerous situation for diabetics...She begged them to not take her pump because she is dependent on it...She evwn ask to be put in the sick bay but they rejected her...Do we have any recourse for their actions..
