discrimintation and harrasment

Ive been employeed by the same company for over 7 years. I have allways kept my personal life to myself but after a number of years working with the same people , i was asked and finnally admitted to bieng homosexual. since then ive been passed up on all promotions. My director of sales and a sales manager sat down with me one afternoon in a private office and he proceeded to tell me that i will burn in hell for bieng a homosexual and that im not preying hard enought for change. over the last 2 years he has made serveral comments about the same thing. I have never made a formal complaint to our hr department. any advise?
