Legal Question in Disability Law in Florida

Health Discrimination at the Workplace

Are there any means to bring a successful suit against my former employer for health related discrimination? My position was eliminated during reorganization; of the two employees chosen for elimination each had major health issues. In my case I have a kidney disease and diabetes, the other employee has cancer. We were not subject to any bargaining agreement and were considered at will employees. My employer was a major telecommunications company in Florida. Given your experience would such a case be dismissed by a judge or are these types of cases frivolous? Where should I start if I planned to do so ?

Give my office a call or e-mail. I can talk with you about the issues, you may have claims under the Florida Civil Rights Act or ADA. DId you sign a severance agreement upon termination? If so, you probably released your employer from liability.
