Legal Question in Administrative Law in Florida

Lease agreement

In 1999 I signed a lease agreement for a vehicle, days later I returned the vehicle because of mechanical reasons. The dealer gave me another vehicle which was the same year and make. That vehicle also had problems but I was able to use it for 8 months. After that time, the car never ran again and I made several attempts to correct the matter with the Lessor. During that time I told them to come get the car, they finally picked up vehicle almost a year later. During that time I stopped making the payments.

I have received a summary Judgement from the leasing company stating that I owe them $16,000. One thing the Vin # on the summary judgement does not match the vehicle I originally signed for. It looks like the car swap was never recorded, I have copies of the original documents which only shows the original vehicle. In the copy of the Lease agreement they sent me with the Vin# was typed in later. Can I fight this? What can I do???

I have to give them a response sone.

The Leasing company is an out of stste company.

Thank you
