In 1997 I was involved in a motor vehicle accident in New Jersey. A short time after I was sent to prison in New Jersey. While in prison the insurance company tried to contact me at my parents house at which time my mother informed them where I was. After being released from prison I moved to Florida. After trying to obtain a drivers license in Florida I was informed that I am on the national DMV database for a suspended licence in New Jersey. I was told the suspension is due to a lean on my license for a judgement pertaining to the accident in 1997. Apparently the insurance company failed to pay because the said I didn't cooperate with them. I could not cooperate because I was in prison. Is there anything I can do?
What makes you think that this is a bankruptcy law question? It is not, and bankruptcy will not discharge debts that arose from criminal behavior, basically. Is there anything you can do? Get a job and start paying off that judgment.
