Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Business Opportunities

I purchased a business opportunity in Nov 2003 for $13,000 and 7 months later realized the company is a fraud. The company was not registered to sell business opp at the time and filed for corporate dissolution in 9/03 and their status is inactive. The President was arrested and fined for failing to comply with the state.

I have filed a complaint with Business Regulation and they are conducting an investigation. The company has made promises and continues to make them without acting on those promises. I would like to pursue a refund of my investment. Do you have any recommendations on how I should go about this. Thank you.

Re: Business Opportunities

You need to hire a lawyer and sue the company and the individual if he was outside of his corporate protection. The question you will need to anwser is whether or not an eventual judgment will be collectable. Should you have any questions drop me an email at [email protected]
