Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Car sales

Recently traded a jeep for a g6.In the deal the jeep valued at 16,000 dollars. The dealer had the jeep for 7 days and called and said that the jeeep had a rebuilt title. He also had the title to the jeep at time of trade. He now says that we have to give him another $6,000.00 because he gave us to much for the jeep. he had the VIN # of the jeep as well as the title. Do I really owe him anything or is this extoriation?

Re: Car sales

Hi:

If this is after the transaction has completed, ie you have the title to the new vehicle then I do not believe the dealer has a leg to stand on.

What is a rebuilt title? This may have some bearing on the transaction.

You should speak with counsel to discuss your rights and remedies.

Good Luck
