Copyright Concern

If I had a business where people paid me to read stories to them from books, would I be violating any copyright laws, etc?

Re: Copyright Concern

Definitely not if the person you read to owned the book. I suppose a (thin) case could be made that you are violating author copyright if you own the books and read from them, but it would be a tough case for the author or publisher. Certainly a case could be made if you are podcasting or otherwise broadcasting the books.
