Cover Letter for a Small Claim Judgement

I recently won a small claim case in FL by default. the clerk of the court needs my case info. along with a cover letter to prove my case. What information should this ''cover letter'' contain? and what type information on the suit amount are they expecting?? All I have is an estimate of repair. Is that enough?? All for now. Thanks!

Most of the time testimony is taken at the time of the pretrial if the defendant does not appear. I think that the clerk is asking you for a sworn affidavit establishing your actual damages along with your court fees and costs. It seems that if all you have is an estimate, you may want to try to include that with your affidavit. However in most instance you need to establish actual out-of-pocket damages in small claims to recover, not estimates which are usually not worth the paper they are written on. Good luck
