Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Dealer has agreed to change the car

I am aware that the lemon law does not apply to used vehicles. Although my situation is kind of complicated. We purchased this vehicle and after a week the car left us stranded because it overheated. After we spent to fix that problem, we then got stranded a second time and its was due to the coil ignition blowing. Then after that got fixed the coil ignition blew again and my mechanic hasnt been able to fully determine the problem. His assumption is that the computer is inoperable. I understand that i bought the vehicle as is, although through all of this ordeal, my dealer has agreed to get me into another vehicle and it seems that he is stalling and i feel in the long run he will leave me with the focus and say sorry its your problem. What i dont understand, if he has agreed to take the focus back and provide me full credit for another car then could he in the long run have me stay with the bad car?

Re: Dealer has agreed to change the car

You bought the car "as is," without a warranty, I presume. "As is," means what it means. You bought the car at your own risk. The dealer doesn't even have to let you exchange the car.

I never buy a car without a warranty. It's just too great a risk.
