Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

I want to send out 1 million letters to businesses asking to give me $1 US dollar. Is this legal? If so, how do I go about it? Although I am not sure it falls in the category of Business Law.

Let me get this right. You want to mail out 1 million letters just asking for $1 from each of them. You do realize that the stamp is 44 cents, plus envelopes, paper and copies. So the expense of mailing is probably over $500,000 (which if you had it you wouldn't need to get $1 M).

You can expect a high percentage of non responders. So you could easy take a loss.

You may want to reconsider your venture.

As a Franchise Attorney I concur and add the following. Even at bulk rate, your mailing costs are substantial. Also you need to factor in the tax bite on the money you raise. And why would business people want to give you $1 to begin with? Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
