Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Written Agreement to Connect Alarm System

We sold our house.

During the process we asked the buyers if they wanted to maintain the existing Security service.

This would thereby allow us to discontinue our contract.

The alarm company allows 90 days to reconnect.

During the closing we had the buyer sign an agreement stating that he would maintain the service and that we would pay the reconnect fee.

He has not and he told the real estate person that he has no intentions of fulfilling the agreement.

Can we hold him to this agreemnet?

If so, how?

Re: Written Agreement to Connect Alarm System

If the buyer has breached the agreement, then you may have no other alterantive but to file a breach of contract claim against the buyer seeking the money damages that you have or will suffer as a result of the breach.
