Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida

The ER doc recommended that my daughter take her daughter to the pediatrician the following day after a fall. My daughter had no free days off at work and had to take her she called her boss and went she went back to work she was wrtitten up as an absentee. She now has to wait at lest 6/12months before she can apply for any oher position within the company. That seems so unfair when this was a legitimate cause. What can we do

She probably cannot do anything. Seems unfair and she can ask for the company to make an exception to the policy or, at least, to allow he to put an explanation iinto her file.
