internet defamation

I recently send a set of photos of a public person posted in an e mail and I re sended it to a tv station, is that illegal or can I be charged for this nder Florida Laws?

I certainly agree with Brent's answer as it relates to CRIMINAL charges under FL Law.

However, you should be wary of potential civil actions as well - such as invasion of privacy. Generally public people have less expectation of privacy than the average citizen. But, you didn't say what kind of pictures you were sending. If they were taken by telephoto lens into the person's bathroom, and were photos of the kind that would cause embarassment and harm, then I wouldn't be suprised if you get served with a civil complaint.

There is no law against sending photos to anyone unless they are pornographic photos of children.
