Legal Question in Technology Law in Florida

I paid a computer tech to evaluate and replace a power source on my laptop 2 mo. ago. When I finally located him and asked for my laptop back he stated that " it is at someone elses house in pieces". He refuses to return my property nor my $100 paid to fix the laptop 2 mo. ago. What do i do?

You should go to small claims court in your county.

You sue. If you want back the laptop (even in pieces), you can file an action in replevin. You can also sue for monetary damages (money the laptop was worth, money to get it fixed, money you paid him). Small claims court should be the right place.
