Legal Question in Technology Law in Florida

Can I use public domain pictures from the internet of public figures in a video with my original music behind the video and post it on UTUBE or facebook?

It is possible that I may earn income from this if that makes a difference. Thank you!

Yes. But be careful. Pictures that you believe are in the public domain might not be. There might be other reasons why you could not use a particular picture in your video, even if it is in the public domain. You seen mostly concerned about copyright issues, but it's possible that your video would get you into trouble for other reasons.

We can't give you definitive answers without knowing what pictures you want to use, how you want to use them, and why you believe they're in the public domain. These are things you should discuss with a lawyer one-on-one, especially if you have reason to think the video might get you into trouble.

Good luck.
