Software copyright law

We are in the last development stages of reservations system. An online booking system that can be independently owned and operated, so smaller travel companies can start earning what they deserve.

The pre-beta version has received more response than all other LWP's previous work combined, including a threat of a lawsuit from a past client who believes this was his idea.

We must protect our investment and have put a cap on this project until good legal council can advise.

Other than telling you what you already seem to know (i.e., that you need to hire an attorney), it is hard to give you particular advice -- your message does not ask a specific question. Assuming that you are effectively putting out a distress call, I can recommend good counsel in Miami for any litigation that arises; I would be happy to help you evaluate your options in respect to protection and licensing of your software.
