Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Florida

Random Search on Airport Public Area (non-secure area)

I work at an airport. Police have begun setting up check points on roads that are not in a secured area, such as a road leading to the employee parking lot. The public can drive on these roads, yet the roads are on airport property. Is it legal for police to stop random cars and search them when they are not entering a secure area. I see no reasonble cause for the searches. Do I have the right to say no to a random search of my car on roads within airport property, in a non-secure public area? This makes employees late for work, and they lose money.
