What are my rights if i am in a signed contract with deposit for material and the customer wants to back out and im not a licence contractor and they knew that at the time of hire?

Few. This assumes that the work you agreed to do requires by law a person doing the work to be licensed contractor. If so, and you are not licensed in that area, you have no legal remedies as a contractor. You can't foreclose on a lien, and you can't sue as a contractor. There's a slim chance you could figure out a way to sue for the money without admitting you were about to engage in an illegal act, but it's doubtful. If you did the work, you'd be guilty of unlicensed contracting which is a felony. Whether the customer knew you were unlicensed when they hired you means nothing.
