Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

Automotive

I have a car with a title that is not in my name nor in the name of the owner. The owner of the car never had the title transfered to her name. I am not able to get in touch with the original owner of the car. How can I get the title in my name so that I can sell the car?

Call the Department of Motor Vehicles and see if they can help you. If not, you may have to file a court suit to quiet the title to the car. It will cost money but may be your only chance to get title and then sell the vehicle if the DMV cannot help you.
