Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

Used Car Fraud

About a month back, I purchased a used car from a local

dealer for $5500. I made a down payment of $4000 and I

planned to pay the remainder amount in montly

installments. As soon as I bought the car, the car

developed some problems and within 2 hours of the purchase

I took the car back to the dealer. I tried to convince him

to take the car back but he refused since I had bought the

car ''AS IS''. Finally he asked me to leave the car on his

lot and told me that if he sold it to someone else for

$5500 he will give back my money. But unfortunately I did

not get a written promise from him. He sold the car to

somebody. But when I asked him my money back he told me

that he will not give it back and asked me to take a car

instead. He was extremely rude to me. He threatened me

that if I take legal action he will say that he repossesed

my car because I defaulted on my first monthly payment and

he will charge me for parking my car on his lot for one

month. I tried to buy another car from him but he is not

ready to sale any other car also at a fair price. Please

advice me on my rights.
