Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

Harrasing Manager

I have a lease with Aarons and I have a laptop that cost 122 monthly. I had to get an extension on the laptop for 2 weeks, and after those two weeks, i would get 6-8 calls IN A ROW from him leaving threatening messages on my vm at 8am in the morning! i still didnt have the money after 27 days so I called the manager and tried to make arrangements to return the laptop, but hes refusing! Tommorow is the first and i know if i have the laptop past the first its gonna be another month! I tried to tell him, i was laid off, i cant affored the laptop and the furniture (sperate agreement), but he refused to accept the laptop without the full payment. So basically he making me keep the laptop until a large bill collects and then i owe him an outrageous amount of money! My queston is, Should i contact an attorney? Should i fight them or just rollover and let the amount save up? Another point is he told us to be in on tuesday (heathers day off) and to bring the laptop and the money, so i think he might just be trying to get another month out of us and confiscate the laptop. In the voice mails he said that he was terminating our agreement, so i dont know what to do. Thanks.

Re: Harrasing Manager

You should consult an attorney. There may be some issues beyond mere breach of contract, like Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices.
