mother in law
my mother in law had a voluntary repossesion in late 2001 she recieved a letter stating the car would be sold at auction on nov 25th 01 it was now on sept 22 2005 she has recieved a soppena to go to mediation for 5000.00 the finance company has made no attempts to contact her since before the sale of the car can they and why would they wait almost 4 years to file a suit.

I try to address what is, rather than why others do certain acts. The important question is, when was the last payment made or the last time the debt was acknowledged in writing.
