Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida

Problem Car

I have a 1996 plymouth breeze.I've had the car a little over a year, but two moths after I got it I started having problems with the car right away. The transmission has been replaced twice, the tourpe conveter, and other major components of the car, has been replaced.I have talked to someone. My concern is that when my warranty runs out (which is very soon)I'm not going be able to keep the car, due to repairs that will be needed.. Example: I took my car in 09/12/00 because of squilling noise. But they told me this time that in order to have the car fixed they would have to replace the fuel ejector but in order to that they would have to change my spark plugs and that would be $231.00. I asked them could I take it some where else to have my spark plugs replaced for less they said my warrenty company wouldn't allow them to do that, well when I called the warrenty company they said I should have taken the car some where else. well when I called the dealership back to let them know this they said the car was already being fixed. Well I went ahead and paid it but now the noise is back and very loud and embarresing. And my air conditioner is completely gone.Tell me where I should go and what shoul I do?

Re: Problem Car

Unfortunately the time to bring a claim under the Florida Lemon Law has expired. I would tell you to call the better buisness bureau but they will only refer you to the auto line division which will tell you what I just did. I am not sure of anything else you could do legally. I would see if the dealer will offer you an extended warranty to deal with future problems that might arise. As far as the current problem have you tried bringing it back to the place that fixed it and telling them it is not fixed?
