warrenty

I purchased a engine from a well known autoparts store. The engine was installed by a qualified autocenter. After install we found the engine to be damaged. The mechanic performed test that the claims office ask. The were done and results were engine was bad. fter additional test were preformed and results still the same. Autoparts franchise will not honor warrenty. I am now going through BBB(better bussiness bureur), still no response by company. What can i do legally

The BBB will almost always be a waste of time, in my opinion. You will probably need to file suit since they will not honor the warranty. That can be accomplished in county court if the engine cost less than $15,000. Depending on the terms of the warranty, you may be entitled to an award of fees if you prevail.

You can try to resolve this as a complaint with the franchisor's main office customer service. They may get involved to help resolve this if you make enough of a fuss. Failing such, you can file suit in the appropriate court. If you do, be sure to bring the mechanic who performed the tests as a witness as his tests will be considered hearsay and non admissable without his testimony. You may wish to retain an attorney to represent you in this action.
