You may be entitled relief known as a Closed School discharge or False-Certification Discharge. In either case, you will have to make an application with the loan holder. If it is the Dept. of Education, they will provide you with the form. If it is a third party lender, they must provide you with their application form. However, in some circumstances the application is made orally. I suggest you contact your lender. Additionally, you may be entitled to a forebearance due to your hardship.
