Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I had an agreement to make certain payments on a credit card and defaulted and now they are asking for a final judgment against me. The amount that they quoted is incorrect as I recently found payments for $200.00 with were not deducted from the initial balance quoted. What is the right way to handle this? How do I respond correctly to avoid further havoc? Do I need to go to the court with these papers within a certain timeframe?

Were you served papers. If so, take your evidence of payments and attend the hearing.
