Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

We had a boat with a lien on it with Bank of America, the lender said that this title was not able to be transferred with that lien in place. The Boat yard said they auctioned off the boat to satisfy a outstanding bill now the boat is in someone else possession..Is that possible to have the lien wiped out with the lender and the boat transferred to someone else while we are still have the full liability to the bank for the full amount?
