Collection Agency/Social Security Disability

Can a collection agency attach my Social Security Disability income, if thats all I have...No assets at all, except my 1998 vehicle. I was out of work 1 1/2 yrs and became disabled

No. Social security income is not garnishable under Florida law. Your vehicle may be able to be attached depending on the equity in the car.

Social security..no. Car..you have $1000.00 exemption in it.
