Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Debt Collection Harrassment

Is it unlawful for a debt company to harrass me and my husband, who is not part of my account, without my authorization, asking questions about physical size and personal details while yelling and rudely interrupting any further information given by either one of us? I have recorded on paper these 4-5 encounters.

Re: Debt Collection Harrassment

Debt collectors are limited in what they can say and do when contacting someone who owes money on an account. You may have a right to make a claim against the companay for violation of federal or state laws. These cases are complicated, however, and you should speak to an attorney who has experienced in this area. Our office has handled this type of claim before. We would be happy to discuss the situation with you. We offer a free initial consultation.
