Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Husband's angry creditors

My husband has several creditors' he has not paid in months. One repo which was auctioned off for less than the amount owed. My name is not on any of these accounts. Both our names are on the land where I live but not him. I have never missed or had a late payment which is owner financed. Can those companies put a lien on this property or threaten me in any way.

Re: Husband's angry creditors

Simply put yes.But if the property is owned as tenants by the entirities then the creditors cannot take any action. Any claimed lien can only affect husband's interest. If the property is homestead then the lien will not attach. In any event you should consult with counsel.
