Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

What protection do servicemembers have from creditors during deployment?

I have applied for numerous credit card applications, all of which have been denied. I have obtained my credit history from equifax. I noticed that the military credit card I had for use on base had been reporting late fees while I was overseas. I had never recieved a bill from them. I had paid the amount due as soon as I got back from the states. I have heard from friends that there is a law protecting servicemembers from creditors during deployment. I have looked on the internet for something. I am sure it is out there but I don't know where to look. I would like to have this one and only negative portion of my credit history erased. I am a responcible person and my credit report does not reflect that.
