Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

While running a credit report recently in order to purchase a home, my husband learned a $2500 lien had been placed on him for $28 (yes, I said $28) in so-called back child support. He can show documentation of full payment as well as thousands above and beyond from an on-the-job injury settlement. How can he go about having the lien released?

If this was placed on him through the Child Support Enforcement - then he will need to contact them and present his receipts and have them remove it.
