Which States laws apply

''I physically signed a car loan in the state of North Carolina while my address was in South Carolina yet when I defaulted on this Loan I was living in North Carolina and did for four years after well past the SOL for North Carolina. I now live in Florida. I was recently contacted by Lawyer from Pennsylvania who sent me letter stating that my account had been assigned to them by a collection agency and was threatened with a law suit.Which states laws would take precedence in this matter?''

You need to look at the contract first. Most of these contracts will state where venue is or what state the statute of limitations applies. If there is no mention of what state the sol applies, then it would be NC. See sample letters to help you in this matter at site below.
