If I am unaware of the lawsuit can a judgement still be placed against me?

Sometimes bad things happen. Yes, it is possible there can be a mistake and a judgment is entered against a person who was not personally served. Best thing to do is to check the clerk of court in the county of where you believe the law suit was filed. Most clerk offices have this info on line.
