Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

A few years ago I helped my friend get a car. I just found out it got repossessed a year ago. I called chrysler and they told me they repossessed it and auctioned it off with his consent. Today I received a credit debit letter from a collection agency asking me for $11000.00 I had no idea this had happened. I do not have 11000.00 I did not get any notice from the bank nor did I get notice of the repossessing. should I get a lawyer and what kind?

First step is to contact your "friend" and see why he or she stopped paying and never contacted you. Your ex-friend, I assume, is also on the loan and you should putr some pressure on him or her to pay this debt.

You need to contact a consumer lawyer. Go to the National Association of Consumer Advocates for a list of lawyers in your area.
